If you’ve never visited the Chicago Botanic Garden around the holidays, you’ve never seen it in all of its glowed-up glory. Lightscape at Chicago Botanic Garden has returned this year for its annual run at the city’s biggest garden. The event was so popular last year that most dates sold out, so it’s important to order your tickets online in advance if you want to be assured entry!
Now through January 2nd (with the exception of a few holiday dates), Lightscape at the Chicago Botanic Garden will welcome guests through a walk-through holiday experience. Hundreds of thousands of lights are strung up throughout the garden and shaped into festive holiday scenes, some of them set to music. One of the most stunning photo ops is the Winter Cathedral, a towering tunnel of dazzling white lights that lives up to its name.
Tickets start at $25 for adults, with an extra $2 added if you don’t purchase them in advance. Note that Lightscape will be following any and all COVID-19 safety guidelines in place at the time of your visit, and they’re already staggering arrival times to allow for easier social-distancing.
